MSPA Tekapo Review

The MSPA Tekapo is a well designed, multi-functional and comfortable to use hot tub. There are two models with different sizes, namely 6 person (as discussed in this review) and 4 person. It sports more than 100 jets which release thousands upon thousands of bubbles for a relaxing experience. Water is heated up to 36 degrees Celsius. One feature of interest is the fact that you can save energy with the hot tub's timer.

Among the hot tub's other features is an anti-icing system which heats the water up to 3 degrees Celsius if it falls below 1 degrees Celsius. The MSPA Tekapo Hot Tub is big on cleanliness. It features UVC lighting which kills various micro-organisms and pathogens. As mentioned, there are two different sizes. Both have a beautiful metallic blue interior.

• Capacity - There are two models of the MSPA Tekapo Hot Tub, namely 6 person (which we talk about in this review) and the smaller 4 person model.
• Heat / Energy Saving Timer - The MSPA Tekapo Hot Tub's heating system heats water to temperatures as high as 36 degrees Celsius. This heating system is designed to work rapidly. One feature of interest is the energy saving timer which lets you schedule when the heater runs. This has the effect of saving energy.
• Anti-Icing System - When the temperature of the water drops below 1 degrees Celsius, the heater will automatically heat the water to 3 degrees Celsius. This prevents the water from freezing, and lets you use the hot tub during winter.
• UVC Sanitisation / Smart Filtration - An in-built UVC light source kills more than 60 disease causing micro-organisms and pathogens. When the hot tub is on stand-by mode, the filtration system automatically switches on for 60 minutes every 4 hours. This helps to keep the water clean.
• Air Jets - More than 100 air jets provide thousands of bubbles for a relaxing massage. These air jets cover 350 degrees.
• Design - A beautiful shade of metallic blue lines the inner wall.
• Accessories - Included with the MSPA Tekapo Hot Tub is a filter cartridge and base, an inflation hose with a manometer, a drainage hose adapter, a top lid with a buckle, and a user manual.
• Safety - The hot tub has a child safety lock.

Summary

Overall, the MSPA Tekapo is a well designed hot tub. We particularly like its energy saving heating timer, as well as its in-built UVC lighting system which kills a number of micro-organisms. We also like its anti-icing system, its more than 100 air jets, and its stylish metallic blue design. We rate the MSPA Tekapo Hot Tub 4.5 out of 5 stars.
