Our Review

The WORX WG163E Cordless Grass Trimmer is both a trimmer and edger with a lightweight and highly manoeuvrable design. It cuts grass and weeds with ease, even on sloped terrain thanks to its 90 degree pivoting head. It's a cordless tool (which takes a WORX lithium-ion battery) meaning you can take it wherever you want without being restricted by access to power outlets or extension leads.

We particularly like the 'Command Feed' functionality which gives you full control over the line feed in the sense that you only need to press a button for more line. We also like the plant guard which protects nearby flowers and shrubs from damage. Note that the trimmer is easy and comfortable to control thanks to its ergonomic and height-adjustable handle.

Specification

The features are as follows:

  • 2-in-1 Functionality - The WORX WG163E Cordless Grass Trimmer is a 2-in-1 trimmer and edger. It can easily be converted between the two at a moment's notice. It has a 90 degree pivoting head and functions well on sloped terrain. It can even get into hard to reach places.
  • Cordless - The trimmer is cordless, instead drawing its power from a WORX battery that is compatible with other WORX tools. Note that two batteries are included, but you can also buy the trimmer with only one battery or even with no batteries at all (if you already have one).
  • Handle - The trimmer has an ergonomic (comfortable) handle with seven positions. It can therefore be adjusted to suit your height, as well as your personal preferences.
  • Guard - A handy guard protects flowers, shrubs and tree bark from accidental damage.
  • Command Feed - The WORX WG163E has an innovative push button 'Command Feed' system which allows for instant line feeding. All you need to do is push a button to get more line. No bumping or auto-feeding is required.
  • Wheels - The trimmer has rubberised wheels to both support and guide the edger to give you straighter cuts.
