It boasts an extra-long 75cm cutting blade which lets you finish large jobs quickly, and successfully cuts branches up to 21mm in diameter. It's a corded tool which features a powerful 700W motor. It also features a blade tip guard to protect the gears from damage, and to also prevent kickback.

The Makita UH7580 Electric Hedge Trimmer has three grips, meaning you can cut hedges in different places and at different angles by holding different pairs of grips. It also offers plenty of reach, depending on which grips you hold. In terms of safety, if the grips are released, the tool switches itself off. The trimmer also has an electric brake.

Note that for safety, the blades only run when two of the three grips are engaged, and stop as soon as one of the grips is released.
