The Makita DUC353Z Chainsaw is a cordless, rapid/clean cutting and overall well designed tool. It has a variable speed controller, a low noise output and a low vibration design. It has an automatically lubricated chain to keep it in good condition, especially with prolonged use. The chainsaw is battery-powered, taking two 18V (36V) lithium-ion LXT slide-type batteries, ensuring no fumes and no power cables to get tangled.

One feature of interest is the XPT (Extreme Protection Technology). It makes the chainsaw resistant to water, dust and similar, letting you use the tool in harsher conditions. We like the fact that the chainsaw has an adjustment lever, letting you increase/decrease the chain's tension without requiring the use of tools. We also like the spike bumper which promotes better accuracy and control.
